Brand new project from summer 2023 onwards!
Supportive, relaxed, creative in-person monthly hangout sessions for songwriters, facilitated by me, Anthea Prince.
Song sharing & feedback, connection, inspiration, encouragement, community, networking, musician chat, confidence-building, collaboration, co-writing, jamming, problem-solving, trouble-shooting (including of vocal issues), and facilitated creative exercises and group coaching from me.
Session content is shaped by and tailored to each group, and will include any or all of the above and probably more.
A safe space for you to explore and develop your creative practice along with others on the songwriting journey.
Additional online moderated virtual community, to keep in touch between sessions, and optional homework may be set!
For all songwriters, from aspiring to established. Bring your songs, works-in-progress, raw material for lyrics or music, questions, ideas, conundrums, writer's block, anything that's holding you back, your voice (however it's feeling), an open mind, a willingness to try new things, and your authentic self.
Feel free to also bring an instrument, or use one of mine. Instrumental skills are not essential, though.
Maximum 6 people (plus me) per session, to maintain a supportive, friendly vibe and give everyone space to talk, play and sing if they choose.
The aim is to establish 2 concurrent (different) groups of regular participants, so the same people are meeting each month.
As the community grows, meetings and further events around Cornwall might blossom from this project.
Showcase gig, anyone? Group outings? Beach picnics? Retreat days? Let's co-create this community!
Email CornwallSongwritingCircle@gmail.com to say hello, enquire, book, suggest an area or venue for future sessions, or ask to be added to my mailing list.
